BASKETBALL SCHOOL "TORNADO" Tornado KM I ‒ „Envija“ ‒ champions of Lithuania U14
April 21 – 22, 2018 Lithuanian U14 National Championship Final 4 took place in Kauna city. Champions of Lithuania became team Tornado KM – “Envija” (coach Donatas Mikulevičius). They defeated Sabonio KC – “Beko” team in the final game by result 79:74.
Team of Sabonio KC started game better and after first quater led in 4 points. In the second quarter players of Tornado KM – “Envija” decrease the difference and in the third quarter they had advantage of few points. Fight between this teams was till the final second. However, team of “Tornado” KM had a better end of game, celebrated victory and became a champions of Lithuania!
„The process of preparation has really gone great, - after historical victory said coach Donatas Mikulevičius. – Tournament in Netherlands helped us to prepare better. Later, when came back home, I said to players, that we’ve been playing in final4 third year in a row, so it’s time for us to win gold medals! I saw desire in the eyes of children. I’m very happy, that we won semifinal and after victory in final game I said that this general rehearsals continue not for a month or two monthes, but for three years!”

Paulius Murauskas – player of Tornado KM – „Envija“ played amazing games! During the final game, in 27 minutes he scored 36 points (13/22 2pts, 2/5 3pts, 4/9 fouls), made 21 rebound, 3 bloks and gain 41 efficiency!
“It's no secret that Paulius is a leader in our team, both psychologically and by points, - said coach Donatas Mikulevičius. - I am pleased that he has had a positive influence on the whole team. It would be hard for us without him, for him – without us. Basketball is not an individual sport, it’s team sport!”

"We really enjoy the historic victory we’ve been waiting for for sixteen years, - said director of “Tornado” KM Dainius Čiuprinskas. - We are proud of these guys and the staff of coaches. But symbolically, this victory is the victory of the whole Tornado KM community - from an accountant to a former coaches and now working coaches, sponsor and all supporting our school. "
