BASKETBALL SCHOOL "TORNADO" The XVII Tornado KM season has been opened with the Ball brothers
October 5, 2018 Tornado Basketball School opened its XVII season in Garliava Sports Center. Along with cheerful young basketball players, the event was attended by the famous Ball brothers and their entire team JBA USA, which is currently in Lithuania.
The opening ceremony traditionally began with a Tornado BS players walk with the school anthem in background. Later, a real whirlwind of relays and competition events took place. All the school children had a possibility to test their strength on the court. The youngest basketball players started off the relay, and the winners were awarded with the most delicious VitirOn Basketball vitamins. Afterwards, some older students of our school came on court. They also competed in the relay, and the fastest and most accurate ones were awarded with the Tornado KM drinking bottles. Finally, the time has come for the oldest basketball players, who have tried their strength on a three-point line. Each team, consisting of five shooters, also received one legionnaire from the JBA USA team. Teams were shooting from three point line for one minute and finally, after counting the results, it turned out that the Tornado KM boys born in 2003 were the most accurate ones. Impatient for the second relay, the little ones were preparing again. This time, JBA USA basketball players came to help, who passed the ball before young Tornado KM players threw them into the basket. The team with the highest score were awarded with Tornado KM drinking bottles.
On the break between relays, Titas Lenkaitis was awarded with 2018 – 2019 Žalgiris season ticket. Last year, this boy worked really hard and 
spent most of 2 percent for school support.
A bit later several parents were invited to the middle of the court. As the Teachers Day was mentioned on Friday, the parents relay was dedicated to those who work this difficult and responsible work. Still, the most astonishing moment of the relay was not the match, but the musical presentation of one of the mothers, which was accompanied with plentiful audience ovations.
During the event children could not only take pictures with Ball brothers or other players of the JBA USA team, but also get an autograph, chat, or even shake hands. During the breaks, the spectator eyes were delighted by the amazing Kaunas Žalgiris dancers, and the little ones played with the school talisman squirrel Tornas. The event was crowned by LaVar Ball congratulation to the Tornado Basketball School and a gift-awarded ball with JBA USA team player signatures.
