22 Teams from 7 Countries Set for Kaunas Cup 2026

This year, the tournament will bring together 22 teams from 7 countries – Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Estonia and Spain. More than 300 young basketball players will compete over three days in the U16, U14 and U12 age groups.

Taking place at the beginning of the basketball season, Kaunas Cup gives teams an excellent opportunity to test themselves before their national championships begin. Games against basketball schools from different countries allow coaches to evaluate their teams, try different line-ups and playing strategies, while young players gain valuable international game experience.

However, Kaunas Cup is about more than results on the court. Over more than a decade, the tournament has become a meeting point for different basketball cultures, where new friendships are formed and coaches and team representatives can reconnect with familiar faces from previous tournaments.
